Lisa Harris has worked as a newspaper editor, public relations and communications professional, and freelance writer. She has been a contract technical writer for the last 12 years at Southern Company Services in Birmingham. Lisa has been married for 40 years to Phil Turkett (see Zoning page). They live in McCalla, a rural area near Birmingham, where Lisa has a vegetable garden and a cute little frog pond. They have two grown daughters, both of whom have partners, and a menagerie of grand-pets. Lisa is a passionate traveler who keeps working to support her habit.
